Danni & Kris are a dynamic duo hailing from Fort Worth, Texas—Two very different yet very similar best friends who joined forces together to create a new musical project formed around acoustic melodies, story telling lyrics, and harmonies that make your heart melt. Danni & Kris began writing music together simply for the fun of it. Many days and nights they spent together were sitting on the floor with their guitars, talking about life, love, and even the strange/funny things that happen when you’re dating in your early 20’s. All these stories eventually turned into songs, after digging deep down to harness that emotion and put it into words melodically so others could enjoy the story with them.

Velvet Love Box features three veteran musicians from the North Texas area: percussionist/vocalist Brandon Bumpas, guitarist/vocalist Scot Cloud, and vocalist/bassist Neil Schnell. The band formed at Bronco’s Sports Bar in 1997, where they still perform every Thursday night, and over the past fifteen years they have continued to blur the line between “cover” and “original”, creating a niche for themselves. In early 2002 VLB recorded their first EP, “Pilot,” for Texas indie label Aaron Ave. Records. In 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008 Velvet Love Box was voted Best Cover Band by the readers of Fort Worth Weekly!

Join us in welcoming Jon Christopher Davis back to Taverna Rossa – Southlake!
Stan Lynch of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers may have said it best – “It’s as if Don Henley, Elvis Presley and the Everly Brothers met late one night at a Texas Roadhouse parking lot and beat the crap out of each other, and what came out was Jon Christopher Davis. He’s brains, hips and harmonies.” JCD’s songs have been recorded by some of the biggest names in Country music. This major label turned indie artist always brings his Lone Star Attitude to the stage!
